My Account · user guide for readers and book buyers
Read, buy and keep it all in one place
A free reader account lets you buy articles, chapters, issues, e-books and printed books, and find everything you bought again later. Open Access articles can be read without an account.
Register (free)
- Click New user register here on the sign-in page, or Register at the top of any page.
- Fill in your name, email, phone and country, and choose a user name and password.
- We email you a one-time code; type it in to confirm your email address. The code is valid for 10 minutes; you can ask for a new one.
- Open Sign In and enter your email or User ID and your password. The button shows the password as you type it.
- Forgot your password? Click Lost your password?; a reset link comes to your email.
- If you sign in while buying or opening an article, you return to the same place afterwards.
- After 5 wrong tries, sign-in pauses for 15 minutes.
Authors, reviewers and editors use the Manuscript Portal instead (the boxes on the right of the sign-in page). One person can have both accounts.

Read and buy articles & chapters
- Open Access articles are free to read and download, with or without an account.
- For other articles and book chapters, choose to buy the article or chapter, or the whole issue or volume, and pay online.
- What you buy stays in your account: open Purchased Articles / Chapters to Download the PDF or read the full text, at any time.
- e-Prints: buy access codes for an article (for example to give to students or colleagues). My E-Prints → View Token lists the codes, and Generate CSV downloads them.
Buy books
- Browse the Book Store. Each book can come as Hard Copy, Paperback, Online (PDF), Kindle or Audio; choose the type, add it to the cart and check out. New and Offers in the side list show recent books and discounted books; you can search titles in Marathi or Hindi script or in English letters.
- For printed books, give the delivery address (your saved address is offered) and pay online.
- Digital editions open from Purchased Bookstore → Read Book.
Your orders
- My Bookstore Orders lists each order; View shows the books, amounts, delivery address and status (for example Dispatched or Delivered).
- Orders that were started but not paid are shown separately: Complete payment or Remove them.
If money was taken from your account but the order is not listed, please do not pay again. Write to office@gathacognition.com with your payment reference and we will confirm your order.
Library access
- If your university, college or institute library has bought our books or subscribes to our journals, you can read them from your own account.
- Open My Library Access and join with the library’s invite code, or with your institutional email (we email a code to that address to confirm it).
- Your librarian may also add you directly; you then get an email with a link to choose your password.
- My Library Access shows your library, your role and department, the date your access ends, everything you can read through the library, and messages from your librarian. While you have library access, you land on the library’s Open access page when you sign in.
- Use the search box at the top of My Library Access (or Search & browse) to find journals, books, articles, chapters and authors. They open inside your library pages, marked Open access, Free or You have access, with Read full text and PDF.
- Access usually lasts one year. Your librarian can renew it, or you can join again with the code or email. The bell warns you 30 days before it ends.
- Your librarian can see which of the library’s articles, chapters and books you open (see our Privacy Policy).
- Your library is not registered yet? Sign in and, on your institute’s page on our site, use Invite your librarian to send them an email about it.
- Librarians: see For Librarians to set up access for your members.
Your profile
- My Profile has three parts: your details, My Address (phone and address, offered as the delivery address at checkout) and Change Password.
- Sign out with Logout at the end of the menu, especially on a shared computer.
